Swarovski Crystal Dipped Hello Kitty Mirror

Last year I bought this mirror from Sephora:

Today I went on the Sephora website and discovered that they’ve since added this:

The same mirror. Covered in hundreds of pink Swarovski crystals, and packed in a black velveteen pouch and a jewel box so you can keep your pretty jeweled Hello Kitty mirror safe. All for just $350USD, a mere ten times the cost of the original mirror! Why, Sephora, do you do these things to me?? But wait-

Last year I also bought this Hello Kitty brush set:

And guess what? Yup, this happened:

Hundreds more pink Swarovskis, and at $495USD the blinged-up brush set is also 10x the price of the original, un-blinged up version. Seriously, why was I born an Asian girl with a love for all things Hello Kitty? Hello Kitty and shiny, now this is just unfair – why am I supposed to resist these?? Maybe if I hadn’t just dropped about 500USD today on one of those Miu Miu bag charms I wrote about 3 months ago (I bought the pink one!!), I might feel less guilty about blowing another couple hundred on shiny Hello Kitty things? Oh God, I’m hopeless. I think I’m going to drool at these blinged-up pictures for a bit more, moan a bit to myself and then go out tomorrow and buy a bajillion crystals so I can bling up my mirror and brush set myself. While I’m at it I’ll probably bling up my phone, and maybe my camera too…

Sephora by OPI Glee Collection, Urban Ballerina Collection

Nail polish fans who are also Glee-happy will be pleased to know that Sephora by OPI has launched their Glee collection of nail polish, with 7 new shades inspired by the show’s characters including Diva-In-Training, Slushied, Hell to the No, Who Let the Dorks Out? and Gleek Out! The whole collection is limited edition, and each bottle of nail polish is $9.50, reflecting the 50-cent price increase in Sephora by OPI nail polishes this year.

Sephora by OPI has also released their Urban Ballerina collection, with the following 6 new shades:

Break a Leg-Warmer (opaque charcoal gray)

Leotard Optional (opaque mocha beige)

Let’s Plié (opaque metallic light beige)

Shiny Dance (opaque slate with fine iridescent glitter)

The Way Tutu His Heart (opaque light pink)

Who’s Spinning Tonight? (opaque metallic true grape)

True to a ballerina collection are the nude light pink and beige shades, and there’s just enough sparkle in this collection to keep things interesting! The swatch for Who’s Spinning Tonight looks particularly pretty, so I’m excited to see what it looks like in person.

Sephora Collection Flower Kabuki brushes

Aren’t these brushes just adorable? This is the new Sephora Collection Flower Kabuki Brush Set, and as shown you get one large black and pink kabuki and a mini pink one, both in the shape of a flower. As like any other kabuki brushes, you can use them for bronzer, blush or highlighting. These are synthetic, and I can’t say much about application or softness since I don’t own them, but I suspect these might be slightly less effective at contouring since they’re not domed on top like your traditional kabuki. They’re super cute though, and if you like to display your makeup collection like I do then this would be a great addition to your dresser!

If you want to buy these, they’re $34 at Sephora and you can click here to buy them!

HELLO KITTY SEPHORA!!

via Temptalia

The HELLO KITTY COLLECTION is back in stock on Sephora!! The collection sold ridiculously well during the limited VIB private sale I wrote about last month, and now the whole collection is back! It looks like in addition to restocking everything, Sephora has added some new items like oil blotters and even a Hello Kitty Solid Perfume necklace!

Some of the items in the HK collection:

Clicking the links will bring you to each product’s Sephora page. This is your last chance to grab these items as they won’t be coming back in stock!! Happy shopping :))

Urban Decay Naked Palette in stock on ULTA.com!!

The UD Naked Palette has once again gone out of stock on Sephora.com, but don’t worry if you haven’t gotten one yet because ULTA has them in stock! Clicking this link will bring you straight to the product page.

I know ULTA says the Naked palette is excluded from coupons, but to my knowledge this really only applies for the tiered coupons ($3.50 off $10, $5 off $25 purchase etc). Codes for free shipping, as well as the 20% off welcome offer from ULTA will still work! Enter 53131 at checkout for free shipping 🙂

Hello Kitty Sephora Private Event

I just got this in my email today! Sephora is having a 2-day only, online preview sale of the HELLO KITTY collection!! I already want the Brush set, apple lip balm and fragrance. And the nail stickers are really cute too. I thought I’d bought enough from Sephora after the FF Sale, then the VIB Sale, then the Holiday giftcards. Now this? It’s like Sephora is out to get all my money or something…

Some product pictures:

Hello Kitty Brush Set, the brushes are all pink-tipped and fit into the HK tin! Retails for $49.

Hello Kitty fragrance in the cutest spray bottle *-*

Apple pot lip balm, the color payoff is supposed to be as good as a lipstick but we’ll see! The cute apple pot and HK logo are enough to make me buy this though. But then again, you could put Hello Kitty’s face on a bottle of water and I’d probably buy it, so…

The collection launches officially in-stores and online in mid-January, and I have a feeling everything will sell out quick!
