MAC Flighty Collection up on MAC Online!

Just a headsup to everyone that MAC’s Flighty Collection is now available online here! Use code FLIGHTY for free standard shipping.

There’s been a bit of a controversy over Temptalia’s review of the collection (you can read her review here) – she originally gave these a B- , and after MAC Senior Artist Romero said in an interview that these were supposed to be “long-wearing”, she dropped the grade down to a D. From her pictures, they really don’t look like they last very well at all, and if a product doesn’t do what it claims to then I get that it should be graded lower. I can’t help but wonder what MAC thinks about the downgrade after taking the time to do an interview. Christine has been nothing but completely honest as a beauty blogger, something I find refreshing when it seems like most people now just write good reviews so they’ll get free products! All this being said I’m not much of a fan of cream products myself, preferring pigments and pressed eyeshadows, so I wasn’t exactly going to run to a MAC store to pick these up anyway (the MAC Mega Metal eyeshadows though was another story!) My advice is, if you’re thinking of purchasing these please try them at a store first, and don’t just buy them online because you like the color!

MAC Quite Cute Spring Collection

images via Temptalia

These are pictures of MAC’s Quite Cute Collection, set to launch in the US on April 7th. That’s not the point of this post though, because what I really want to tell you guys is that All Cosmetics Wholesale has managed to get 3 of the lipglosses from the collection and are currently selling them on their website, more than a month before the official release date! These might likely be advance samples that got leaked somewhere, which has happened before. The 3 available plushglasses are:

Girl Boy – Bright light blue pink, available for purchase here.

Bubble Tea – Creamy pale nude, available for purchase here.

Fashion Fanatic – Creamy pale pink,, available for purchase here.

ACW usually sells most of their past collection limited edition MAC stuff for higher than retail, but these are only $13.50, $5 off of MAC’s retail price! If you know which lipglosses you want from the Quite Cute collection, this would be a great way to get them for cheaper, and ahead of everyone else, giving you the opportunity to pull out an as-of-yet unreleased, limited edition MAC lipgloss from your bag. I have Asian girl friends who would freak out if I whipped out a MAC Bubble Tea lipgloss, and I absolutely love bubble tea (I can easily drink 4 cups of the stuff a day), so no surprises which one I’m getting!

MAC Jeanius Collection

“Jeanius is a celebration of the journey America made a national obsession. M∙A∙C keeps up with a Jeanius collection of moody blues and indigo ink, the quantum of modern cool, with four new limited-life denimized Eye Shadows, Lipglass, Blush and Biker Blue Nail Lacquer. Completely riveting.”

Just a heads-up to everyone that MAC’s Jeanius collection is now available here for purchase! The Cremeblend Blushes and Sheen Supreme Lipsticks are also up on their website. All 3 collections will launch in-store in the US on March 3rd. Use code JEANIUS for free shipping!

Urban Decay Naked Palette back up on!

The Urban Decay Naked palette is finally back up on the UD website! The new palette includes an eyeshadow brush instead of the double-ended 24/7 eyeliner, and is $4 more expensive at $48. As you can see from the product photo, Urban Decay claims they changed it because they couldn’t make enough 24/7 pencils, and I’ve also heard rumors that UD had problems with the supplier of the chocolate velvet cloth. Personally I think this is a load of bull, because UD must have made a bajillion 24/7 pencils recently just for sales of the 15-year Anniversary 24/7 Pencil set alone. And isn’t it harder to make a brush than a pencil? Whatever the reason for the change though, the Naked palette is still a great deal, and some people would definitely prefer having a brush included with the palette.

If you’ve been waiting for the Naked palette to finally get back in stock, you  can click here to buy it!

MAC Viva Glam Gaga 2 up online!

Just a heads up to everyone that MAC’s Viva Glam Gaga 2 is now up online! Lady Gaga is back for another year as the face of the Viva Glam Collection, and sales of both the lipstick and lipgloss will go towards the MAC Aids fund. The Gaga lipstick is described on the MAC site as a light warm beige with an amplified finish, while the lipglass is a pale milky beige. This year’s shades should be more wearable on everyone than last year’s bubblegum pink!

Both the lipstick and lipgloss are $14.50 each, and using code GAGA will get you free shipping! Click here to buy online, or wait til the official launch tomorrow (Feb 17th) to buy in stores!
