Kate Spade Gold Coast Shimmer Evangeline bag

I don’t generally write about bags, though not for looking at them less than I do shoes! I should probably feature more bags on here, because who doesn’t like looking at bags? (Not me anyway…) This is Kate Spade’s popular Gold Coast Evangeline bag, shown above in ballerina pink. I really like this shade of pink because it instantly makes an item more delicate and feminine, and I think it works perfectly with the quilting and gold plating to make for a girlish bag. I like how this bag has its own distinctive look, unlike a lot of other quilted bags that tend to have the same look (ie, the Chanel Classic look…), due to the vertical quilting pattern and diamond-shaped clasp that have been used here.

This is pebbled cowhide, with 14k light gold plated hardware and a flap and turnlock closure. You can purchase it here for $395. Also available in cream and cashew.

Kate Spade Gal heels

These cream and black Kate Spade heels are quite cute, aren’t they? I love stripes, and black and cream is one of my go-to colour combinations. The striped heel reminds me of zebras (in a good, cute way!) and the grosgrain ribbon is simple and cute. While the combination of cream and black usually makes for a more formal shoe,  the open toe and slingback style of this one keeps it casual. With its 4″ heel though, you probably won’t be wearing this for a walk in the park, but it’d be perfect for say, a lawn party in the Spring! Anyone want to invite me to theirs?

These are $298 and you can get them from the Kate Spade store online here.

Alexander Wang Frida Leather boots

Who remembers these Alexander Wang Frida boots from 2010? The sumptuous black leather and calf hair, along with the sculpted 5″ heel and 1″ concealed platform definitely give these a “bad girl” vibe. Well, if you wanted them last year and didn’t manage to snag a pair, theoutnet is currently selling them for 50% off! Originally $575, these are now $287.50. While that’s still not quite a bargain price, they’re a decent bargain for designer shoes! Click here to buy.

Forever 21 Double Platform Glitter Stilettos

These are Forever 21’s new Double Platform Glitter Stilettos, and don’t they look very… architectural? I don’t mean that in a bad way (I’m an architecture student, so quite the opposite!) They’re definitely interesting, what with the double bow, double platform, and slight Kirkwood thing going on with the heel! Having stared at this shoe for the last few days, I’ve decided that I quite like the design, but I’d think twice about buying it if it’s Forever21 doing the manufacturing! Let’s be honest here, F21 is known for being a cheap, commercial brand, and some of their shoes are pretty hit or miss in terms of quality and workmanship. I’d feel safer buying a shoe like this from a higher-end brand, just for the extra peace of mind that the platform won’t fall apart on me! Still, props to Forever 21 for being less ‘commercial’ with this shoe and going instead for a more edgy, unique look that might not necessarily have mass appeal. They’re very ambitious, and I like them!

Here’s a closeup of the platform:

I just looked at the platform and thought, Oreo’s! but that might just be me. Seriously though, doesn’t that sandwich effect remind you of Oreo’s? No? Okay, moving on… Where did I leave those Oreo’s?

These are $32.80 and you can purchase them here.

Abbey Lee Kershaw for Atelier Versace Spring 2011

via fashioneditorials.com

This is a picture of Abbey Lee Kershaw wearing an Atelier Versace gown for their Spring 2011 lookbook, and the combination of very light blonde hair with that gorgeous deep green gown is simply stunning. I’m utterly in love with the shoes too – they don’t so much as match the gown as were made perfectly for this gown and this gown alone, and I love the skinny metallic heel and bling. Despite my massive amount of love for pink, this particular shade of deep turquoise green happens to be my favorite color – I just wish more things came in turquoise!

You can take a look at the rest of the collection over at fashioneditorials.com.
